Edit images for the web

1. Fix the exposure

If your photo is too dark or too bright try www.picnik.com to fix the exposure. If you need more colour effects try www.pixlr.com/editor.

2. Crop and resize

Rotate, resize and crop your images with www.picnik.com.
It’s better to crop images instead of overly reducing them.

3. Save your image

Save photos on www.picnik.com as JPGs and choose a compression quality of about 60%. A small image should not be larger than 30 kB. If you want to show a large, high quality photo you can use 200 kB.
Save illustrations, diagrams, logos and icons or images with a large area of single colour as a GIF.
