How to create a meaningful tagline

The tagline is a short phrase right below, above, or next to the logo. It’s an essential message about who you are and what makes you special.


  • Describe what you offer.
  • Express the primary purpose of your website.
  • Convey the benefits your website offers.
  • Write simply, clearly and informatively.
  • Use between 6 and 8 words.


  • Don’t express a goal, a vision or a guiding principle.
  • Don’t use vague or generic taglines.
  • Don’t use clichés and business jargon.
  • Don’t be cool or clever.
